Maria was born in 1990 and comes from Paleometocho. She holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cyprus and an MSc from the University of UCLAN Cyprus. She has been an active member of the Cyprus Greens – Citizen’s Cooperation for the past 12 years and holds the position of Vice President. She served as Secretary of International Relations of the Party and Secretary General of the Women’s Movement for several years. From 2014-2018, she served as Secretary General of the Young Cyprus Greens, and she was elected President of the Cyprus Youth Council (2022-2023). She has been involved in public affairs since a young age, focusing on youth, environmental, and human rights issues.
