Marinos Portokallides
Mr. Portokallides works as a Scientific Officer ‘A in the Research and Innovation Foundation’s (RIF) Funding Programmes Department. He has been working for the RIF since 2007 and has more than a decade long experience in research and innovation funding and working with innovative and research-intensive SMEs. He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of funding schemes for research and innovation, has served as EUREKA National Project Coordinator for Cyprus, FP7 and Horizon 2020 NCP and has been involved in the EEN Network (2013-2024) as Project Coordinator, Consultant, Project Manager, Internal Reviewer and Member of the Intelligent Energy Sector Group and Research Thematic Group.
Mr. Portokallides has a BSc, MSc Degree from the University of Patras, Greece, in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM). Before joining the RIF, Mr. Portokallides has worked as a computer engineer in a Cypriot based company providing IT services and infrastructures in local enterprises and the Government of Cyprus.
