Efthymios Papastavridis
Dr Efthymios (Akis) Papastavridis is Fellow at the Athens Public International Law Center, University of Athens, and Teaching Associate at the Faculty of Law, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Since May 2021, Dr Papastavridis is the Principal Investigator of a research project, entitled “EU Maritime Security post-2020” (EUMARSEC 2020+), which is conducted at the Athens PIL Center and has received funding by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation for three (3) years (2021-2024).
Dr Papastavridis is also a visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of University of Oxford since 2016. He currently teaches International Law of the Sea at the BCL/MJur Programme and he has previously taught International Law of Armed Conflict at the BCL/MJur Programme and Public International Law at the undergraduate level. He was an Oxford Martin Fellow at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford the period 2016-2022.
In addition, since 2010 he works as Research Fellow at the Academy of Athens, Bureau of International Relations, under the supervision of Professor Emmanuel Roucounas.
