George Isaia

George Isaia was born in 1994 in Nicosia.
He studied at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Cyprus and holds a degree from the Department of Classical Studies and Philosophy. He continued and completed his postgraduate studies at the School of Social Sciences and Education of the same university and holds a master’s degree from the Department of Social and Political Sciences. His main research interests include the strengthening of institutions, the rule of law, and participation.
He is a policy officer and programme manager at Oxygen for Democracy, an executive officer at Nomoplatform, editor-in-chief of Nomopress, an independent special advisor at Zenox Public Affairs, and advisor to the Commissioner for the Citizen on issues of democratic participation and citizenship. He is active in policymaking, with issues concerning institutions, the rule of law, and participation, and is a member of the Mirror Committee on Governance of Organisations of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
He is married to Anna-Maria Menelaou from Nicosia.
