Kostas Pliakos is a journalist and video producer. He lives in Athens. He has worked for 25 years in newspapers, magazines, on line platforms, TV and has collaborated with foreign television stations, including SRF (Switzerland), TVP (Argentina), NDTV (India), CNN international, VICE, for news, television shows and documentaries. He has covered international news and features from more than thirty countries in Europe, Asia, South and Central America and Middle East. As a director and producer, he has made several feature-length documentaries, for cinema, TV and streaming platforms, that have been awarded at Greek and international festivals.
He studied journalism, economics and cinema in Athens, Patras and Barcelona and speaks English, Spanish and Italian. For the last 9 years he works with CNN Greece.
