Ipek Borman

Dr. Ipek Borman is an international relations expert and academic, serving as a research consultant at Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) Cyprus Centre and a senior lecturer in International Relations at the Cyprus International University (CIU) in Nicosia. Her work focuses on the fields of security, peace and conflict, in particular the Cyprus problem. She was formerly involved in the comprehensive negotiations for the solution of the Cyprus problem and served as a core member of the negotiation team of the Turkish Cypriot side between 2005-2010 and 2015-2020. She is actively involved in bi-communal projects and civil society initiatives regarding conflict resolution, peacebuilding and gender equality. She is a member of the Cyprus Women Bi-Communal Coalition (CWBC), Greek-Turkish Forum, Cyprus Peace and Dialogue Centre (CPDC), and Cyprus Futures Transformative Scenarios Process. She regularly writes and comments about the politics of the Cyprus problem as a political analyst.
