Survivor Leader, Expert Advisor Step Up Stop Slavery, Chair of Cyprus Survivors of Trafficking Advisory Council (CSTAC)
Irene Che is a survivor leader and the Chair of the Cyprus Survivors of Trafficking Advisory Council, as well as a member of the advisory board of Step Up Stop Slavery.
She has studied Social Management Science in the University of Buea in Cameroon and has been living in Cyprus since 2018. Her academic background as well as her experience as a refugee from Cameroon fuels her passion for empowering migrant women, vulnerable groups and survivors to whom she offers leadership training and workshops. She is currently working as an EU project officer and Cultural Mediator at Synthesis Centre for Research and Education. Irene participates as a speaker in Conferences in Cyprus and abroad. In her capacity a trafficking expert, she offers advisory services to Step Up Stop Slavery and is a founding member and Chair of CSTAC.
