Winds of Change
Sophia is an Olympian who represented Cyprus at the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010. She is currently a resident doctor at the University Hospital of Zurich in the Department of Visceral Surgery and Transplantation. She remains connected with the Olympic Movement, serving as a member of two Commissions of the International Olympic Committee. Through her role as an IOC Young Leader, she founded the Winds of Change initiative, a programme that gave rise to the first sailing team to sail around Cyprus in the past 50 years, promoting peace through sport.
