Oren Anolik
Oren Anolik was appointed as Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Cyprus in August 2021.
Ambassador Anolik joined the Foreign Service in 1995. During his diplomatic career, he has held diverse positions. He represented Israel’s interests in three continents while serving as Counselor for Political Affairs in Washington DC, USA (2006-2010), Deputy Chief of Mission in Prague, the Czech Republic (1999-2002), and Deputy Chief of Mission in Asmara, Eritrea (1997-1999).
In-between posts abroad, Ambassador Anolik served as Head of the Policy Planning Bureau (2019-2021), Head of Personnel Training and Development Bureau (2016-2020), Minister-Counselor in the Division for Strategic Affairs (2015-2016), Director of the Department for Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (2010-2014), Policy Advisor to the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem (2003-2006) and Senior Deputy Director General (2002-2003).
Ambassador Anolik earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Accounting at Tel-Aviv University (1992-1995) and completed his Master’s degree in Political Science at Haifa University (2014-2015). He is a graduate of Israel’s National Defense College (Class of 2015).
